Richard Cordukes is a distinguished Paralympic athlete and advocate renowned for his unwavering commitment to inclusion. Despite becoming a quadriplegic in 1976, Richard swiftly immersed himself in wheelchair sports and represented New South Wales at the National Wheelchair Games just a year later. His illustrious athletic career saw him break records and secure silver and bronze medals at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics. Richard's tireless advocacy for accessibility and equality earned him accolades such as the Life Membership of Wheelchair Sports NSW in 2011 and the Australian Sports Medal in 2000. And, for over 30 years, Richard has also been a birdwatcher.
